Another cool update of bDule is available. The most visible changes are a dark theme, the possibility to have several Twitter searches in one single search module and central management of the Twitter credentials. Here is a non exhaustive list:
  • Dark theme
  • Central management of Twitter and Facebook accounts at application level (accounts are preserved even if a module is deleted)
  • Have several Twitter searches in a single module
  • Ability to post a picture on Facebook
  • A cancel button for status update
  • The ability to select an item
  • Up and down key navigation
  • API counters
  • Better management of the Twitter API when creating groups
  • And much more
We are still working on alerts and better group management. Our aim is to give you the best tool with all the functionalities you need. This great review gives us some very good advice and we want to consider such suggestions, as well as your feedbacks, as much as possible.

You are all great for sending in all your feedback! We want to add more features but we first want to make sure that you all have a great experience. For this reason, we are pushing out a small release of bDule mainly fixing following bugs and issues:
  • URLs in Twitter feed
  • Some texts and images mixed in Facebook feed
  • All special caracters  (>,<,&,...)
  • Maximized window taking care of Windows taskbar (detect current monitor and adapt size)
  • Restore minimized bDule window from tray
  • Scrolling with arrows keys
We also added a main setting menu and the option to run bDule automatically at start-up.
We hope you will continue enjoying bDule and send us more feed-backs while we are working on adding even more functionalities based on your feed-backs.

bDule has been launched less than one week ago and we would like to thank you all for the great feed-backs, blog posts, Twittering … It has been a great week! We listened to all your feed-backs and requests and have been working all week on a new release of bDule, which we just pushed out. We have implemented the most requested features: minimize to tray, keeping the content when changing the template and a smoother scrolling. We have also implemented a filter, a particularly interesting feature if you are spamed. In the settings, you can define some words, so that when you receive a tweet containing these words, it will not appear in your timeline. Another cool new feature (but we need your feed-back on this one): when you select text, it will automatically be copied in the clipboard, so that there is no need to press CTRL + C. We also worked on several other enhancements and fixes. Following is the whole list of changes:
  • Button minimize to tray implemented
  • When you change the template, you can now keep and re-order the content
  • Smoother scrolling
  • Spell checker
  • More search results (and the ordering issue in search is fixed!)
  • Words filtering (antispam)
  • URL shortener fixed
  • Auto CTRL + C when selecting text
  • Timers redesigned
  • The Twitter column indicates the current user
  • Typing a tweet of over 140 characters is possible (but it won’t be posted unless you reduce it)
  • Possibility to empty a column content
  • Slightly darker font color
We hope you will enjoy bDule even more and send us more feed-backs!
Thanks
We’re Moving Fast! We’ve just integrated Facebook Open Stream API, Twitter and Twitter search in a new application.
Users can now “start simple,” enjoying desktop aggregation without creating an account.
We were developing a standalone sobees module when we heard last Monday that Facebook released its API for the full stream. In just few days, we’ve been able to integrating the new Facebook stream API (requiring a conversion of the Facebook Stream API in .NET), a powerful Twitter client and Twitter search, making our already powerful sobees social networking aggregator even more robust. We call the new application bDule by sobees (combining “bee “and “module”).
Windows 7 RC was released this week, so it’s a good timing for offering a great desktop companion for Windows users. And Mac users, we are working on your version based on Silverlight (running in and out of the browser), so hang in there.

Our goals with the new client:
  • offer a “start simple” experience making it easier for users to enjoy desktop aggregation without creating an account
  • offer a solution for netbook users
Here’s what bDule by sobees lets you do:
  • Facebook stream with some filters, likes and comments (update the status, likes and comments within the application)
  • Twitter client with multi-accounts, groups, single or multi-column view, etc.
  • Twitter search
  • A powerful and easy organization of the content in templates with sizeable columns and rows, just like in sobees
bDule by sobees is based on .NET and is easily installable on any Windows 7 computer as well as Vista and XP if .NET is up-to-date.
In parallel we are also working on a new release of sobees with a smaller ribbon and a bunch of other features and enhancements.
It’s pretty exciting to see how powerful the desktop aggregation is becoming with great APIs such as Facebook’s and Twitter’s and we are looking forward to providing sobees users with the best possible integration of such services. You’ll be seeing more of these bDules in coming months. Like I said, things are hopping here at sobees!
